THUNDER SWORD RESOURCES EXPLORES POSSIBLE METEORITE IMPACT STRUCTURE WITHIN ITS KERCHER LAKE CLAIMS

July 10, 2006 – Vancouver, B.C. - Thunder Sword Resources Inc. (‘Thunder Sword’ or the ‘Company’) (TSX.V: THU) is pleased to report that early analyses of the Megatem airborne data suggests that the Kercher Lake Block of claims provides interesting features. Fugro states in the General Response to the Survey that “This area displays some oddly interesting features. The digital terrain elevation values derived from the GPS data and the on-board radar altimeter values, indicate a very circular crater-like structure near the center of the block. The on-time EM signature defines an area of surface conductivity right in the centre of this circular crater-like structure,” said Jean Lemieux, Chief Geophysicist – Fugro Airborne Surveys.

Thunder Sword has suspected that this feature may be related to a meteorite impact. Satellite imagery was used in the target selection process for this property in October of 2004. With 174+/- known meteorite impact sites on earth, “35 of the known craters have been associated with economic deposits of which 17 are currently being exploited with resulting revenues of over $12 billion annually (Greive and Masaitis, 1994).” 190 km to the north west of the Kercher Block is the Carswell Lake meteorite impact structure. The Carswell Lake structure is within the Athabasca Basin and within its circular structure is the location of the Cluff Lake Uranium Mine (1979-2002, mined out and in decommission phase). The circular signature at Kercher Lake is also within the Athabasca Basin and provides Thunder Sword a unique exploration target. Although the primary search is for uranium, the management team is planning to include a search for additional minerals and other potential indicators associated with known meteorite impacts. The known economics related to world impact structures provides Thunder Sword with an enhanced opportunity for this group of claims.

About Thunder Sword Resources Inc.
Thunder Sword’s primary objective is to identify and develop significant uranium discoveries in the Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan. The company has amassed an inventory of uranium projects totaling over 74,772 hectares in Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin and several near-term targets are expected to be drilled in the fall/winter of 2006. Thunder Sword also operates the Geermu project which produces high purity magnesium chloride in China and owns and operates the Pipe Lake gold property which consists of 50 claims.
